At Stack Veterinary Hospital, we know that keeping your pet clean plays a part in keeping them healthy. We offer on-site pet grooming at Stack’s Paw’lor, where our grooming staff offers a refreshing and relaxing experience. Our goal is to pamper your pet and improve their well-being at the same time, so they can get the full benefit of our services.

Pet grooming is about far more than just making your pet look sharp. It also enhances their health, makes them more comfortable, and prevents the onset of infections and other issues associated with poor hygiene. Its health benefits include:

Cat Grooming

Shanna, our groomer, is a licensed veterinary technician and feline advocate. She practices low-stress handling to put cats at ease and works at a pace that suits them best. Cats usually stay with us for the morning so Shanna can do a little bit of grooming at a time and give them a break if they need it. To further reduce stress, we will not do a wellness exam or vaccines on your cat on the day of their grooming appointment.

Sedation grooming**

**If absolutely necessary, we can sedate your cat before grooming them. This depends on their age, health, and degree of risk. If sedation is necessary for grooming, your cat will need to be examined in our hospital by one of our doctors before scheduling a sedated groom.

Our team is happy to work with pets that are anxious or less cooperative. We believe that patience, love, and positive rewards can go a long way towards helping pets warm to the grooming experience. You can bring in your pet for a meet-and-greet if you like, so they can say hello to our team and get used to our facility.

If you think it might be necessary, please ask about how we can safely sedate your pet for their grooming. A veterinarian is always on staff to provide this service if needed.
