We are honored to be a part of your pets life. Our hospital strives to foster the human-animal bond and keep families together for as long as possible. As pets reach their twilight years, you may begin to face challenges regarding their health and happiness. We are here to guide you and your pet through this difficult stage.

Losing a pet truly is like losing a family member, and the feelings that result from this event are entirely valid. Furthermore, is important to face grief and find healthy ways to cope. This helps you and your family move forward but still remember (and cherish) the life you shared with your pet. Our Veterinary Social Worker, Sally offers services that can make the journey more peaceful for your family.

How We Care

Our end of life services include:

Offering consultations for end of life care
Evaluating your pet’s foremost health needs and social and emotional well-being
Educating owners and offering support through the end of life stage
Anticipatory pet loss counseling: This involves giving families coping skills, emotional support, self-care, and preparation in anticipation of their pet’s loss
Pet bereavement counseling to support grieving family members as they cope with the loss of their pet.

We are honored to be the first general practice to earn AAHA's End-of-Life Care accreditation! This accreditation is awarded to practices that focus on elevating their end of life services. Our Veterinary Social Worker, Sally and medical team provide patients and clients with additional supportive and emotional care, further enhancing and strengthening the human-animal bond.
