Referral Coordinator
Alicia joined the team in 2017 as a member of the Veterinary Reception team. Soon after, Alicia joined the Veterinary Assistant and Surgery Assistant Teams. Alicia is currently a Referral Coordinator who works directly with Dr. Snakard and Dr. Homco. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has three pit bulls, Rhino, Roxy, and Tyko. She also has two cats, Onyx and Storm.
Veterinary Surgical Technicians
Your pet’s assigned surgery technician will care for your pet on the day of their procedure. The Technician will prepare your pet for surgery by placing an IV catheter to administer anesthetic and pain medication. During surgery, the Technician will monitor your pet’s heart rate, blood oxygen levels, blood pressure, heart function, and temperature. Once the procedure is complete, your pet’s assigned technician will monitor them after surgery in our intensive care unit. They will administer further pain relief if needed, ensure that your pet is able to eat, drink, and go to the bathroom on their own before returning home.
Veterinary Surgical Assistants
Surgical Assistants are trained to work side by side with our Surgeons and Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Our Surgery Assistants aide in facilitating many aspects of your pet’s procedure. Just a few of their duties include: preparing surgical instruments, collecting data and information for the Surgeon, assisting Technicians during your pet’s procedure, and accommodating the needs of the surgical department as they arise.
