Mackenzie came to Stack Veterinary Hospital in August 2017 as a member of the reception team. In September 2018 she began working as a groomer in Stack's Paw'lor. In her free time, she enjoys singing, baking, traveling, and going to the gym.

Shanna
Shanna joined the practice as a licensed veterinary technician in June 2010. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree before pursuing her Veterinary Technology Degree at Wayne County Community College in Detroit, MI. Shanna takes a special interest in feline care and is one of our Feline Friendly Advocates and helped the practice to become Silver Certified Feline Friendly in early 2013. Shanna is our patient care coordinator and also assists in scheduling home visits. She has two cats named Theodore and Selma, a Pointer/Lab mix named Mater, and a Pit Bull named Peppa. Stephanie O’Brien
Stephanie joined the practice in November 2012 as a Veterinary Technician In Training. She became the head assistant in February 2014, and Human Resources and Client Coordinator in October 2015. Stephanie graduated from Alfred University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2010. In 2012, she completed the Veterinary Technician program at Penn Foster College. In October 2013, Stephanie became a member of the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians. She has two horses named Tanner, a dog named Cowboy, and a Russian Tortoise named Turtle. Stephanie became a mother in March of 2021, to a beautiful daughter named Ella!

Mackensie Murphy joined the Stack Veterinary Hospital grooming team in 2025. She has been dedicated to the art of grooming for over 20 years. A second-generation groomer, she has earned worldwide recognition as both a fierce competitor and a sought-after educator. With numerous national and international accolades—including multiple Best in Show titles and prestigious Barkleigh Honors awards—Mackensie’s expertise spans all aspects of professional grooming, from competition-level styling to everyday pet care.
Beyond the grooming table, Mackensie is a passionate educator, mentoring groomers on advanced techniques, stress-free handling, and the importance of compassionate, individualized care. Whether she’s preparing a dog for the show ring, teaching the next generation of professionals, or providing top-tier pet grooming services, Mackensie’s commitment to excellence and animal well-being remains at the heart of everything she does.
